April Fool's day in paradise

Role: Writer, Director

For April Fool's Day, I wrote and directed a video that made it seem like the 16-foot flip flop sculpture in the Margaritaville Resort Orlando lobby was stolen!

Black history month series

Role: Brand Manager, 'Producer'

For Black History Month, I had the team put together these videos. One for Bear's Den Resort Orlando and the one below for Margaritaville Resort Orlando. I played an integral role in how the story came together for both videos. I provided rounds of feedback which included rescheduling some interviews to draw out more personal stories that bring each team member's story to light in the best way possible.

Stranger Things In Paradise

The Netflix hit show Stranger Things caused an uproar of conversations online during the summer. I pitched a video idea where we take the resort's iconic 16-foot flip-flop in the Grand Lobby and turn it Upside Down in true Stranger Things style. Our team's talented videographer executed the idea to perfection and even added the idea of incorporating music and headphones similar to how was done in the show. Starring in the video is a team member in the social media team who put on a great performance making the video even better!

3rd Trip Around the Sun

I successfully launched the 3rd Trip Around the Sun campaign in January of 2022. It’s a play on Jimmy Buffet’s song ‘Trip Around the Sun.’ The message to the audience was simple: We’re celebrating three years of island-inspired paradise. Join us as we celebrate Margaritaville-style! I made sure to elevate our content for this campaign to really go above and beyond with tropical-inspired cheer. Watch the General Manager Scott Robbins take part in this 3rd-anniversary celebration video series I pitched.

Christmas In July Video Series

For Christmas in July, I pitched a three-part video series where we explained that Santa was coming to paradise. The story follows our GM Scott Robbins finding out Santa is coming and scrambles to make everything perfect for him. I wrote all three videos, created props, collaborated with the video team, and more to bring the vision to life. Here you'll find the third video in the series which ended up being our highest-performing(engagement rate) video of 2022.

A Road to Acceptance - Social Media Dependence

Role: Director, Producer, Editor

In this film, I was able to take a vulnerable story and share my friend's experience dealing with the psychology and downsides of social media. This video came together in about two weeks in total. The most practical thing I learned is how crucial it is to have great b-roll. It makes editing so much easier. Besides that, it was a blast to create something that had more substance than anything I'd made before. (Made in 2019)

Storicate: Being in service

Role: Director, Producer, Editor, Interviewer

The idea here was to promote Storicate by using "being in service" as the message showing all Storicate does without having to directly say it. This video included following the founder, Stan Miller, around for speaking engagements and workshops. I also conducted all the interviews with people who are involved with Storicate and Stan Miller. The video thumbnail shown was designed by me too.

Zebra Coalition ft. Orlando PD

Role: Director, Producer, Editor

I was given the opportunity to direct, produce, and edit this video for Zebra Coalition, a homeless shelter for LGBTQ+ youth in Orlando, FL. After two months of planning, shooting, and editing, the video went on to raise $128,000 for a fundraiser in San Francisco, CA. In this video, we captured the stories of Zebra Staff and Youth to share how their community makes an impact. We included the Orlando Police Department in the video vouching for the credibility of the Zebra Coalition. Making this during my time in college was one of the bigger challenges I took on but it was extremely rewarding and fun.

Old Town VHS - Exploring Kissimmee, FL

Role: Director, Videographer, Editor

Since video is something I just love to do, I decided to follow my friends around on a photo-walk they were doing. We loved the neon lights at this location so decided to spend some time there. I was inspired by Stranger Things and 80s VHS aesthetic. I wanted to test my editing skills with this challenge and it turned out pretty great I think. Just a simple video that shows how editing can give a location an entirely different feel. Overall, it was a great way to continue sharpening my skills. All while having fun too! (Made in 2019)

BTS Video for film production

Role: Videographer, Editor

I got my start networking by doing Behind the Scenes(BTS) videos. It got me in the habit of finding the action and capturing moments that tell a story without having to say anything. This video served as a token for everyone that worked on set that day. Overall, it was a great experience navigating sets and situations while remaining like a fly on the wall capturing the action!

Puerto rico

Role: Videographer, Editor

I put this together from a trip my family took to Puerto Rico. I was testing out slo-mo and challenged myself to create a short sequence, but ended getting carried away in the fun. I was able to practice some creative shot compositions, creating a sense of story without a direct narrative, and making something that feels good to watch without requiring any fancy production elements. Just a camera, some innovativeness, and making it happen!
